ATLANTA -- As the final seconds ticked off the clock, the Atlanta Hawks celebrated and their fans serenaded the Indiana Pacers with chants of "Overrated!" Game 3 did nothing to change that perception. Air Max 270 Femme Pas Cher . The top-seeded Pacers are on the ropes again at the hands of the eighth-seeded Hawks, who finished six games below .500 during the regular season but truly believe they can pull off a major upset in the opening round of the playoffs. Atlanta is playing with confidence and swagger -- and even got a crucial call to go its way. Jeff Teague flung in a wild 3-pointer after the officials missed him stepping out of bounds, and Kyle Korver finished off Indiana from beyond the arc to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 98-85 victory Thursday night and another lead in the series. The Hawks took control in the third quarter -- the decisive period in all three games -- and held off the Pacers to go up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 is Saturday in Atlanta. The Hawks were up 84-78 with the shot clock running down when Teague launched a running shot from the wing -- after his foot clipped the line. "I knew it was a 3," Teague said. "Hopefully they just count it." They did, even after a video review. Referee Tony Brothers explained that officials took another look at the play merely to determine if Teague was behind the 3-point line when he shot. There wasnt any doubt about that, and under NBA rules the only other thing they could look at was the position of Teagues feet when the ball left his hand. He was clearly in bounds when he shot. Korver clinched the victory with the last of his four treys, putting Atlanta up 92-80 with 1:41 remaining. That was only appropriate, since the Hawks made 10 3s in the second half. "In the second half, we came out and made some big shots," Teague said. "Everybody played well." Teague scored 22 points and Korver added 20 to lead the Hawks, who are having their way with an Indiana team that struggled down the stretch and is still scrambling to regain the form it showed much of the season. Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 21 points, and Luis Scola added 17 in another stellar performance off the bench. But Paul George was held to 12 points on 3-of-11 shooting, George Hill made only 1-of-11 from the field, and Roy Hibbert continually missed shots close to the hoop. "We have a dream of winning it all," George said. "Weve got be much more tougher than that. I dont think its there. Our toughness is questionable right now." Hibbert is having an especially rough time, scoring only 18 points in the first three games on 7-of-25 shooting. Coach Frank Vogel was asked if he planned on making a lineup change, especially given the Pacers had more success with their 7-footer on the bench. "Were going to look at everything," Vogel said. "He has not played well in the series to this point. But we still have confidence in Roy Hibbert." Teague made the biggest shot of all for the Hawks. Looking up to see the clock running down, he dribbled to his left and threw it up with Scola in his face. Nothing but net. Teague smiled and shrugged his shoulders on the way back down the court, as surprised as anyone that it went in. "A lot of times those plays that you draw up dont work the way that you want them to," Korver said. "You improvise and sometimes you throw stuff up as the shot clocks coming down and it goes in. Im glad that it happened for us and not for them." The Hawks stunned the Pacers in Game 1 at Indianapolis and led by as many as 11 in the first half of Game 2, before the Pacers finally looked like the top seed in the East with a dominant third quarter that evened the series. This time, the Hawks gained the upper hand in the third -- just as they did in the series opener. Korver knocked down a 3-pointer from the corner off a fast break, prompting the Pacers to call a timeout. They needed another after Teague soared for a thunderous dunk off an Indiana turnover, pushing Atlanta to a 10-point lead, matching its biggest of the game to that point. The Hawks went to the final quarter riding a wave of momentum when Lou Williams stepped back and swished a 3 with just 1.2 seconds left in the third, pushing Atlanta ahead 67-58. Then, the rookie linebacker coughed up blood and realized he needed help. The Browns are thankful he asked for it. Mingo was released from the hospital Saturday after a two-night stay at The Cleveland Clinic because of a bruised lung. After watching his teammates practice, the first-round pick discussed his ordeal and the unusual injury he believes happened on the opening kickoff in Thursday nights exhibition win over Detroit. "Im perfectly fine and my ribs are perfect," an upbeat Mingo said, flashing his usual smile. "I had no pain and no bruising, which kind of surprised the doctors, as well. Honestly, if it wasnt for the shortness of breath I was having, I probably would have still been out there playing." Following his release from the hospital, Mingo went to the Browns training facility and visited with defensive co-ordinator Ray Horton and others at lunch. Later, he walked onto the practice field about 15 minutes into the workout and briefly met with Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and coach Rob Chudzinski. Mingo tried to downplay an injury that could have been worse. "When I couldnt catch my breath, I went to my coach, who sent me to the trainers," the No. 6 overall pick said. "They made the decision, which was the right one, to be extra cautious and send me to the hospital. I appreciate that, obviously, but Im fine. Im really fine." Mingo said nothing happened on the opening kickoff to make him think he was hurt. "I ran down and didnt feel right," he said. "I didnt feel like a hit was delivered that hard. I would think (a bruised lung) itd be serious, but I feel fine. They told me to take it easy for a couple days, and when the coaches and doctors tell me Im able to come back, Ill be out there." When he got to the hospital, Mingo said he was given precise instructions. He also coughed up blood after he was admitted. "They gave me a bed and a TV, and they said, Watch this and dont move, and youll be OK," he said. "All I have to do now is just rest up and let it heal." The former LSU standout likely will be kept out of practice for the next week, and its possible he will sit out Clevelands final two preseason games at Indianapolis (Aug. 24) and Chicago (Aug. 29). Horton isnt too worried about Mingo missing time. "For a young guy, he needs every rep he can get," Horton said. "He is very smart. Air Max 98 Pas Cher Femme. He is on page. For us, its just reps. Its seeing a different look. Its seeing (Colts QB) Andrew Luck. Its seeing different fronts, what they have and how they want to block him. It will retard a little bit, but he is pretty gifted in what he does and he picks things up fast. How much? I cant give you a quantitative answer, but it will hurt him a little bit." Mingo played only on the kickoff-coverage and punt-return teams against the Lions. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Mingo has been primarily playing special teams and with Clevelands second-string defence. However, Horton has been working the speedy Mingo into some of the Browns pass-rushing packages in order to use his ability to pressure the quarterback from the edge. Fortunately, the Browns have others who can fill in while Mingo recovers. "We have a lot of players at a lot of positions who can play for us," Horton said. "Depth is a key for us. We have quality players at a lot of quality positions. A lot of people use the mantra, Next man up. We believe in that philosophy that it doesnt matter who the starters are, it is give me 11 guys who want to go out and play and can play. "He is one of our 11, so will it hurt our team? Yeah, it will hurt our team because of our depth, but we will get him back soon and we will plug him right back in." Mingo was one of five Browns players to suffer a significant injury in the 24-6 win over the Lions. Running back Dion Lewis broke his left leg and is scheduled for surgery. Its not known how long Lewis will be sidelined, and Chudzinski said the team will wait until after the operation before deciding whether to put him on injured reserve. Lewis, acquired in a March trade from Philadelphia, has been a pleasant addition for the Browns, who were hoping to use him as a change-of-pace with starter Trent Richardson. Lewis injury will further test Clevelands depth in the backfield since Montario Hardesty is expected to miss at least one month after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday. Starting right guard Jason Pinkston (high ankle sprain) left FirstEnergy Stadium in a walking boot and on crutches. Chudzinski said rookie Garrett Gilkey, a seventh-round pick, likely will move into the starting spot. Tight end Gary Barnidge (sprained shoulder) and rookie kicker Brandon Bogotay (groin) were also hurt in the preseason game but are not expected to be out long. ' ' '
