Uncovering sleepers in fantasy football isnt easy with so many players seeking and finding much of the same information. So its an advantage to consider sleepers not just hidden stars but as players who should outperform their projected fantasy draft positions.Be bold and take a chance, and you could find yourself with true difference-makers who can propel your fantasy team to greater heights in 2016.---WENDELL SMALLWOOD (RB, Eagles)Ryan Mathews has played 16 games just once in six seasons, and current backup Kenjon Barner is too small to take over as a featured runner if Mathews gets hurt again. Smallwood has been slowed by a preseason injury in his rookie year, but he is versatile and will be ready to contribute when called on during the regular season.---CHRIS THOMPSON (RB, Redskins)He is the teams best pass-catching running back, and the Redskins will be throwing often this year. Matt Jones is already having preseason performance and injury issues, and Thompson could end up being the only trustworthy running back on the roster, especially in point-per-reception formats.---JAY AJAYI (RB, Dolphins)Miami added Arian Foster, but he is a definite health risk. Ajayis preseason stock is falling because of the Foster addition, but at some point he will be back as a starter for the Dolphins and he should get a lot of work as a primary ball carrier.---SPENCER WARE (RB, Chiefs)He scored six times last year after Jamaal Charles went down with a knee injury, and could be in line to vulture some touchdowns this season as the Chiefs manage their true No. 1 running back. Should Charles go down again, Ware should be the preferred top option over Charcandrick West.---ELI ROGERS (WR, Steelers)Rogers is back after his 2015 season was ruined by a foot injury. An undrafted free agent, Rogers is pushing the struggling and more-ballyhooed Sammie Coates for his spot on the depth chart. Rogers is looking good in the preseason and has the promise to contribute in a potent passing game.---BRUCE ELLINGTON (WR, 49ers)Someone has to step forward to catch passes for the Niners, and that may not be Torrey Smith often enough. He is miscast as a top wide receiver on an NFL team and will frequently be matched up against a top cover cornerback or extra defensive attention. If Ellington can finally avoid injuries this year, he could emerge as a needed playmaker for San Francisco.---MIKE WALLACE (WR, Ravens)Wallace has been seemingly lost ever since he left Pittsburgh, but Wallace could be reborn in Baltimore. Joe Flacco throws very well downfield, a skill that seemed to be lacking for Wallaces past QBs, Ryan Tannehill and Teddy Bridgewater. The Ravens desperately need quality performers at WR, and Wallace has a great opportunity to seize here.---CHRIS HOGAN (WR, Patriots)As he did with Danny Woodhead and Wes Welker, Bill Belichick (or someone close to him) has raided the roster of a divisional opponent to pluck a player who can fit perfectly into the New England offense. Hogan is a big, nifty target who can vault quickly up the Patriots WR depth chart and become a quality statistical producer.---TYROD TAYLOR (QB, Bills)Taylor threw for just 20 TDs last year, but he also rushed for 598 yards and four scores. T-Mobile has the coolest nickname in the NFL and the potential to be a top 10 Fantasy quarterback. He should throw more TD passes this year with Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods healthy along with a rebound season from TE Charles Clay. Taylor should improve as a pocket passer and he is a dual threat with some true fantasy upside.---TYLER HIGBEE (TE, Rams)Most veteran Fantasy analysts never recommend rookie tight ends, but Higbee can be a notable exception. He is a converted wide receiver and he may have quite an opportunity to contribute in a Los Angeles passing game that seems to be devoid of quality targets. Higbee has already showed off the skills to be an effective possession receiver on key downs in the preseason. Hell go undrafted in many leagues, but consider taking him in the final round as a flier.---This column was provided to The Associated Press by the Fantasy Sports Network, http://FNTSY.com . Hazard cut in from the left and scored with a swerving right-footed shot for ninth goal of the season, which proved to be enough for the victory despite Chelseas forwards again lacking a cutting edge up front. The nimble-footed quarterback got his wish, dashing through the snow and a weary defence all the way into the NCAA record book. FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Bryce Petty went from roster bubble to starting quarterback in a matter of four months. With lots of twists and turns in between. The second-year player out of Baylor was no lock to make the New York Jets out of training camp, back when he was competing for the No. 3 job and the team was facing the possibility of keeping four quarterbacks on its active roster. To that point, Im not supposed to be here, and I know that, Petty said Wednesday. So, I dont take this for granted.Petty will make his second NFL start Sunday at San Francisco, but first since being made the Jets unquestioned starter for the final four games of the season.Thats quite a leap for a guy who was behind both Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith coming into the season, with rookie Christian Hackenberg, a second-round pick, considered a project but a potential franchise quarterback. That left Petty the likely odd-man out -- until New York surprisingly kept him around.Theres not a lot of teams, that I know of anyways, that would take four quarterbacks, Petty said. I really appreciate that. Thats something I think about on a daily basis.Fitzpatrick has been benched for the second time this season, and has likely played his last game for the Jets. Smiths opportunity to regain the starting job lasted less than two quarters because of a season-ending knee injury in Week 7 against Baltimore. With the Jets mathematically eliminated from the playoff hunt after a 41-10 blowout loss to Indianapolis, coach Todd Bowles decided to turn to Petty to give the young quarterback an extended look. At the very least, Petty is the QB for now. He gets a chance to prove whether he can be the QB for the future, too.Id be lying to you if I said I didnt know that, Petty said. At the same time, Im just trying to take it one game at a time. For me, this is an awesome opportunity. One, being that (to prove himself). But, two, I get to contribute and help my team in any way I can, and I hold that really high on my priority list. Thats No. 1, is to win.Petty started a month ago against Los Angeles in place of an injured Fitzpatrick, and went 19 of 32 for 163 yards and a touchdown with one interception. In mop-up duty against the Colts, he was 11 of 25 for 135 yards with a TD and two INTs.After that game, though, Bowles announced thhat Petty would be the starter the rest of the way.dddddddddddd Wednesday marked the first practice since that decision. He looked really poised and comfortable today, more so than Monday night, wide receiver Brandon Marshall said. He threw the ball extremely well and he threw it where it was supposed to go.Marshall also revealed that Petty is routinely the first player to the facility every day. That has been a new development this season, and Marshall has even stopped beginning his trek in from Brooklyn before 5:30 a.m. to try to beat Petty in.Last year, he was fat and overweight, Marshall said of Petty. Im being honest. Fitz picked on him all year. ... His body has changed. Hes ripped up, he has abs. Hes focused. He goes from the weight room to breakfast to film and hes relentless about it.Petty has a lot of winning on his college resume, having won two Big 12 championships with Baylor and putting up eye-popping passing numbers, including a Cotton Bowl-record 550 yards in a 42-41 loss to Michigan State on Jan. 1, 2015.Heading into the NFL draft last year, there were mixed reviews on Petty. Some said he was simply a product of Art Briles grip-and-rip system and would need lots of work at the next level. Others said he was a terrific athlete who could develop, with seasoning, into a potential NFL starter. The Jets took him in the fourth round, seemingly of the opinion he could be a key piece to their future. But then they drafted Hackenberg this year in the second round, which is usually a spot where eventual starters are taken.Coupled with a shoulder injury in the preseason finale, Pettys future with New York grew suddenly uncertain.I dont know if it necessarily lit anything that wasnt there before, Petty said. My goal since Ive been in here was to be the starter of the New York Jets. So, whether they drafted a kid, I think thats one of the things that keeps the drive in you, is to know theyre always looking for somebody to replace you.Whether they do it or not, is one thing. For me, it was just another reminder that, hey, this is for real. Youve got to put up or shut up.---For more NFL coverage: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys cheap jerseys Cheap Jersyes Cheap Basketball Jerseys Cheap NHL Jerseys cheap jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '
