Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork. Colorado Avalanche Jerseys .com) - Erik Karlsson netted the game-winning goal 1:21 into overtime and the Ottawa Senators battled back from a three-goal deficit to top the Vancouver Canucks, 4-3, on Sunday. Mika Zibanejad, who finished with two goals and two assists, dropped a pass back to Karlsson in the slot and the Ottawa captain beat a screened Eddie Lack with a wrister for the win. David Legwand scored on the power play to spark the comeback, Bobby Ryan tallied three helpers and Craig Anderson made 30 saves for the Senators, who ended a five-game skid. Radim Vrbata had a goal and an assist, while Brad Richardson and Kevin Bieksa also scored for Vancouver, which got 41 stops from Lack in its second straight loss. (Lack) played so well, Vancouver head coach Willie Desjardins said. That gave us a chance, but we couldnt do it. The Canucks opened the scoring with two goals in a span of 65 seconds during the first period. Vrbata stickhandled his way around Anderson and slipped the puck into the net at 6:10 and also assisted on Bieksas slap shot from the high slot at 7:15 for a 2-0 Canucks lead. Richardson increased Vancouvers lead after snapping home a shot 5:02 into the second, but Ottawa answered back with three goals of its own in the second period. Things didnt go our way at the start, but we stuck with it and actually came back with a push, Senators head coach Paul MacLean said. Legwand fired home a generous rebound over the shoulder of Lack for a power- play marker past the midway point. Zibanejad gathered his own rebound, skated behind the net and banked the puck off the skate of a defender and into the net for a 3-2 game with 5:48 left in the second. Canucks defenseman Christopher Tanev blocked Ryans shot from the right side, but Zibanejad was there to take the puck and drag it across the slot with his backhand before finishing the play with a patient backhander for a tie game with 1:02 to play before the second intermission. Ottawa threatened in the latter stages of the third, most notably on Ryans turnaround shot in the slot with just over two minutes to play, but neither team was able to find the back of the net and the game went to overtime. Smith later took to the practice field with his teammates Friday afternoon at team headquarters in Santa Clara. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 4. It is not clear whether Smith will play Sunday for the Niners when they host the Indianapolis Colts at Candlestick Park. The team released a statement Friday regarding Smith shortly after his arrest. "The 49ers organization is aware of the matter involving Aldon Smith. As we continue to gather information regarding this situation, we will have no further comment," the team said. Smith, 23, posted $5,250 bail and was released from the Santa Clara County jail late Friday morning, just hours after he was taken into custody by police responding to a single-vehicle crash that involved his truck in San Jose, Santa Clara County Sheriffs Sgt. Kurtis Stenderup said. San Jose police arrested Smith after officers received a call from a resident about the crash in the citys Silver Creek area around 7 a.m., Sgt. Heather Randol said. Officers proceeded to give Smith breath and other tests after his pickup apparently struck a tree, hit a curb and left streak marks on a driveway and sidewalk. "They conducted an investigation and determined he was under the influence," Randol said about Smith. "He was the only person inside the vehicle." The linebacker, who played in his first Proo Bowl and helped the Niners appear in the Super Bowl last season, was also arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Miami Beach in January 2012. Carl Soderberg Jersey. Smith, who turns 24 on Wednesday, has also been named in a lawsuit by a Northern California man who said he was shot during a party at Smiths house. In the suit filed earlier this month in Santa Clara County Superior Court, David Kleczek, an attorney for Ronndale Esporlas, claims that Smith and former 49ers tight end Delanie Walker fired weapons illegally during a party at Smiths San Jose home on June 29, 2012. The players charged a $10 admission and $5 per drink, the lawsuit said. Smith and Walker, who is also named in the suit, were allegedly intoxicated on Smiths balcony when they later fired gunshots in the air while trying to end the party, the lawsuit said. Kleczek said they then moved to the driveway where he alleged more shots were fired. Esporlas, 21, was shot twice in the leg while he was "caught in the crossfire between the two groups of people firing gunshots at each other," the lawsuit said. As a result, Esporlas, "sustained serious, catastrophic and permanent injuries," the lawsuit said. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. Attorneys for Smith and Walker, 29, who currently plays for the Tennessee Titans, have said Esporlas "freely and voluntarily exposed himself to all risks of harm" by attending the party. They say injuries suffered by Esporlas, who was shot in the leg, were not caused by the defendants. Santa Clara County prosecutors have said they are considering criminal charges.
