Did your team live up to expectations? Phil Thompson gives his verdict on the midweek Premier League games. We asked Liverpool legend and Sky Sports Now guest Thompson to grade each side based on their performance in the Premier League fixtures this week.So how did your team fare? Did they get an A or an F, or somewhere in between? Read on to see how each top-flight side has been ranked... Bournemouth - B Benik Afobe made sure of the points against Southampton Bournemouth were very good on the day. They totally dominated the game (against Southampton) and although they dont like calling it a derby, most people would see it as a south coast derby. They enjoyed most of the possession and chances.Chelsea - B Guus Hiddink says Norwich forced his side into a battle but was pleased with the way they ultimately earned a 2-1 win When Chelsea went 2-0 up I thought it could be another game where Norwich would fall aside defensively. In fairness [to Norwich] it should never have been a second goal for Chelsea. How the assistant didnt give [Diego] Costa offside is incredible.Liverpool - B James Milner scored against his old club Manchester City I expected this result - when you get back-to-back games against the same side - and you play them again a few days later, whoever wins the first match usually loses the second and thats whats happened after the Capital One Cup final on Sunday which could have gone either way. Jurgen Klopp made the most changes so you can argue they had the fresher legs, but Liverpool thoroughly deserved the victory on the night. Phil Thompson is certain that Jurgen Klopp will be given enough time to help Liverpool end their wait for a Premier League title Swansea - B Ashley Williams bagged Swanseas winner at the Emirates Stadium As the game wore on against Arsenal they got better and they made six changes to save players for the game against Norwich on Saturday. It seems as if the players that came in wanted to say Im good enough to actually start games. [Andre] Ayew was back to his best, [Bafetimbi] Gomis was better in the second half. I thought Jack Cork was fantastic in midfield and [Jordi] Amat and [Ashley] Williams were superb in central defence.West Ham - B Michail Antonio scored West Hams winning goal The Hammers maybe should have won this game by more goals. Theyve shown all season that they can beat the big boys and proved it once again at the Boleyn Ground. Michail Antonio has not deserved the praise he should do in this side. He couldnt get in the side for the first few months but now hes been absolutely terrific. Hes also been a scorer of vital goals. I think this West Ham team are capable of beating all the bigger clubs. Slaven Bilic said West Ham should have beat Tottenham by more goals Crystal Palace - C Connor Wickhams form is a plus point for Sunderland, says Thommo Palace are in a difficult moment although its good to have [Yannick] Bolasie back, but he needs to get his fitness levels back, and [Connor] Wickham - scoring four in two games is a major plus point. Everton - C Ramiro Funes Mori was on target in win at Villa Park Theyve been on a bit of a run. I think theyve only lost one away game all season and theyve had a bit of good news with the investment into the club. Everybody seems to have perked up. Theyre on a good period at the moment and when they get like this [against Aston Villa] theyre a very difficult team to beat.Leicester - C Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri says his side will continue to fight after West Brom draw Its been a fantastic story. They should have won the game, but West Brom had four central defenders across the backline and made it very difficult. It was a siege at 2-2 in the last 10 minutes. They had great chances when Wes Morgans point-blank shot was saved by [Ben] Foster. Leicester can count themselves very unlucky. Manchester United - C Louis van Gaal was very happy that his side managed to beat Watford when three of their rivals for a Champions League place lost They probably would have taken a draw but Louis van Gaals team seems to be riding their luck and coming through games at the moment. Stoke - C A wonderful Xherdan Shaqiri strike won the game for Stoke It was great to see [Xherdan] Shaqiri score with a fantastic strike. Hes produced the goods and has been a very, very good signing for them.Sunderland - C Fabio Borini bagged a stoppage-time equaliser against Crystal Palace Theyre upward bound and [Fabio] Borinis late goal felt like a win because its maintaining the confidence in that Sunderland side.Watford - C Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores says his side missed a great opportunity to beat Manchester United Watford had all the chances in this game. It was chance after chance. David de Gea was making all the saves. They should probably had got more out of the game, but didnt.West Brom - C West Brom boss Tony Pulis praised his sides stubbornness after they drew with Leicester Salomon Rondon gets the early goal to change things at Leicester and West Brom showed they are made of sterner stuff. They were absolutely fantastic and scored through a great free-kick from Craig Gardner. West Brom, as they do, defended very well.Arsenal - D Arsene Wengers Arsenal side suffer a shock defeat to Swansea After the first 20 minutes when Arsenal could have been a couple of goals ahead, they scored through Joel Campbell, but it started a downward spiral when [Wayne] Routledge scored against the run of play. Then, in the second half, I just do not know what happened to Arsenal. The passing was dreadful and the players seemed to lack confidence. The booing when Arsene Wenger took Campbell off and brought Danny Welbeck on was astonishing. Phil Thompson thinks Arsenal arent showing enough fight to win the Premier League Norwich - D Alex Neil was disappointed with the manner of the goals Norwich conceded against Chelsea Youve seen Norwich fall apart, like against Liverpool when they were 3-1 ahead and against West Ham when they were 2-0 ahead at Carrow Road and then just fell apart. Theyve been poor and theyve been on a downward spiral. They need all the help they can get and if they keep getting decisions like that [Diego Costa] going against you, particularly at home as well, then youre in trouble.Southampton - D Ronald Koeman was bewildered by Southamptons defeat They have been in a decent bit of form. They flip between being absolutely fantastic and a team that cant get a result from anywhere, but this was a dreadful performance by them. Ronald Koeman must have been wondering what the heck happened to his side.Tottenham - D Mauricio Pochettino is hoping his side can recover against Arsenal As soon as they suffer a defeat, like against West Ham, everybody will now say theyre tired, theres fatigue, theyre playing too many games, but I dont believe that.Newcastle - E Steve McClaren endured a frustrating night at Stoke Newcastle away from home are absolutely abysmal. Their performance away from home was so poor.Manchester City - E Sergio Aguero stands dejected after Anfield defeat You can imagine City would have been celebrating after their Capital Cup win - it certainly looked like it.Aston Villa - F Aston Villa seem destined for the drop It was the result everyone was expecting. Out the door in 74 was the big talking point before the game with all the Villa fans heading out. I was surprised they didnt walk out after four minutes because they capitulated. The only joy they got was a Rudy Gestede late goal, but it was another dreadful performance and even playing with three centre-backs, they were all over the place. Defensively this season, Villa have been atrocious. Micah Richards says Villa have not been good enough this season Do you agree or disagree with Phil Thompsons midweek grades? Swansea appeared to be heading for their first league win since the opening day of the season, but Seamus Coleman headed in an 89th-minute equaliser for Everton.Gylfi Sigurdsson scored from the spot to put Swansea ahead as Bradley made eight changes to the side that lost to Manchester United a fortnight ago. It looked like the heavily altered line-up would deliver Bradley his first win, but instead the American was left questioning how they left Goodison Park with only a point Everton 1-1 Swansea I understand that seeing games through is a big challenge in the Premier League. Youve got to take care of business, clear balls and react a little quicker, Bradley told Sky Sports. There were parts that we feel good about, there was more intensity. In the first half, there was better periods of stringing passes together. In the second half, Everton went a little more direct and iin some of those moments I felt our decision-making could have been better, but we must push ourselves along.ddddddddddddYou go around, try and look at different combinations, but still, we see good things today. We just have to keep at it and not lose the faith, knowing that our hard work will pay off. Reaction from Ronald Koeman after the 1-1 draw to Swansea Changes arent made for no reason. Changes are made to try and get the group that is at the highest level. I think today is a step.Bradley aimed to look at the positives for Swansea, even though Sunderlands win against Hull City saw his side move bottom of the table. We still need to understand after 12 games that were nowhere near where we need to be. Looking backwards only gets you so far, Bradley added.26 to play. Positives to play. Weve got to march on.
