I cannot wait for the 2016-17 season to begin. It should be excitement galore when college basketball teams take the court for another exciting campaign.I recently had a discussion with a couple of friends about the season. We talked about some players that may be under the microscope because they have to come up big for their teams to succeed. So here is my all-get-it-done team, five guys who have to produce big-time for their teams to reach their potential.Monte Morris, Iowa State CyclonesHe averaged around 14 points and seven assists per game last season for a team which won 23 games. This season, he will be considered for preseason All-American teams, and there is some pressure on him because the Cyclones lost reliable scorers in Georges Niang and Abdel Nader. Look for Morris to respond to the challenge for coach Steve Prohm.V.J. Beachem, Notre Dame Fighting IrishThe 6-foot-8 forward averaged 12 points per game last season, and he really picked it up in the NCAA tournament, showing his range and averaging 17.5 ppg during the Big Dance. Demtrius Jackson and Zach Auguste are gone, so Beachem will have to be a consistent scorer night in and night out for the Irish.Thomas Bryant, Indiana HoosiersThe big man inside has to be a consistent threat every game. With Yogi Ferrell and Troy Williams gone, the spotlight will be on Bryant more often. There were some games where he disappeared, and that cannot happen this season. After averaging around 12 points per game last season, he has to step up and be more productive.Jordan Woodard, Oklahoma SoonersHe had a solid season as the Sooners made the Final Four. He shot 45 percent from the 3-point line and 80 percent from the foul line. His senior season will be interesting as the Sooners are less experienced. He is also without running mates Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins in the backcourt.Nigel Williams-Goss, Gonzaga BulldogsIt may seem strange to put a transfer on this list, especially after he sat out last season. Williams-Goss, if he returns to the form displayed as a freshman at Washington, where he averaged over 13 points per game, has the potential to be a very exciting player. He will need to score since Kyle Wiltjer and Domantas Sabonis are gone. Ryan Kelly Jersey . William Carrier opened the scoring for Cape Breton (6-4-2), but Andrew Ryan tied the game and Brent Andrews put the Mooseheads (8-6-0) in front for good with a short-handed goal at 13:49 of the second period. Quenton Nelson Jersey . But Bourque, who has missed three games with a lower-body injury, wont be in the lineup when the Habs travel to Buffalo to take on the Sabres on Wednesday. http://www.coltsfansshop.com/Colts-Kemoko-Turay-Draft-Jersey/ . It says Pocklingtons lawyer filed the appeal Friday in a California court. CTV Edmonton also says Pocklington gave a $100,000 cash deposit as part of the conditions of his bail, and that he will be out on bail until his appeal is heard. Tarell Basham Jersey . With the short-handed Warriors needing help from someone -- anyone -- to stop a three-game skid, ONeal returned from right knee and groin injuries that had sidelined him for four games and put up season highs with 18 points and eight rebounds. It was just enough to help lift Golden State to a 102-101 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. Christine Michael Sr Jersey . There was no hesitation from the 40th-ranked Pospisil, from Vernon, B.C., who admitted that he cut back on his training sessions over the last few days to conserve energy as the long ATP season finishes next week at the Paris Masters. GWS chairman Tony Shepherd says the Giants are two years ahead of schedule, but will need to make finals forever to satisfy the Sydney sporting public. The AFLs youngest club will play their first final in their fifth year, when they face cross-town rivals Sydney in Saturdays qualifier at ANZ Stadium, the same venue and opponent for the Giants very first game in 2012.Were ahead of where we expected, Shepherd told AAP at the Giants headquarters in Olympic Park on the eve of the game.I would have said when we got into the competition five yeas ago, 2017 in the finals and 2018, but maybe top four if everything goes well, and everything has gone well.Shepherd recognises GWS will need to match the consistency of the Swans, who have made finals 14 of the last 15 years, if the Giants are to command their share of a Sydney market crowded by four football codes.Weve had early success but weve got to stay in the finals forever, frankkly, if were going to win, because Sydney likes winners - we dont want losers in Sydney, Shepherd said.ddddddddddddI think it will take us and the AFL working together at the community level 20 years to put down deep roots. It took the Swans 30 years to put down deep roots, and theyve done a great job, no argument there.Because theyve been the ice breaker, it will take us a little less.Shepherd has watched his club grow from humble origins when their administration was based in two rooms at a local RSL club. Then we moved into demountables at Blacktown and we thought wed arrived and they were pretty basic, Shepherd recalled. We didnt have a full-time training oval, we had to travel around western sydney getting training done and then we moved into this (Olympic Park HQ) and this is nirvana really.
