Lewis Hamilton went into the deciding pole shootout in Monaco on the back foot after engine problems struck his Mercedes at the start of Q3. After needing to complete just one flying lap in Q2, Hamilton was favourite for a second successive principality pole but was forced to pull to the side of the pit lane as the top 10 runners queued to take to the track.Something is wrong with the engine.
