TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Jonathan Isaac and Dwayne Bacon continue to come through for Florida State.Bacon scored a game-high 18 points and Isaac got his second double-double of the season (14 points, 13 rebounds) as the Seminoles defeated Minnesota 75-67 on Monday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.I was proud of those guys, Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton said. Dwaynes shot selection was excellent and allowed pace to come to him. Jonathan asserted himself in the second half, especially getting rebounds. The Seminoles (6-1) shot just 34.6 percent from the field in the first half and trailed 33-31 at halftime. They opened the second half by making six of their first eight as part of a 15-5 run over the first five minutes to give them the lead for good.Bacon, who scored 14 points in the second half, had seven points during the run. Later in the half he had a breakaway dunk off an Isaac block to put FSU up 52-39 with 12:44 remaining. In the first half we played their game which was going down slow and not pushing it up the floor, Bacon said. In the second half we just adjusted to play faster, to get stops and move around. The Seminoles would lead by as many as 19 (70-51) with 5:01 remaining before the Golden Gophers (6-1) started to cut into the lead.Bacon has led Florida State in scoring in six of their seven games while Isaac has been the leading rebounder in the past four. They made really good player plays. A couple of the times I turned to our guys and said `thats a good play from a good player. I thought we played really solid defense, Minnesota coach Richard Pitino said.Akeem Springs and Nate Mason led Minnesota with 11 points. The Gophers came into the game shooting 47 percent from the field but was a season-worst 19 of 58 (32.8 percent).BIG PICTUREMinnesota: The Gophers were seeking their first 7-0 start since 2008-09 but struggled in their first road game of the season. With five newcomers, Pitino saw the game as a good early test before conference play starts later this month.Florida State: The Seminoles snapped an eight-game losing streak in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and went 2-1 during a stretch of three games in five days. Both of those wins came against Big Ten teams.LETDOWNMinnesotas Amir Coffey, who came into the game leading the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game, was held to a season-low seven points. The freshman guard was 3 of 10 from the field and got into early foul trouble.STAT OF THE NIGHTFlorida State had a decisive 40-18 advantage in points in the paint.Senior center Michael Ojo had 12 points, marking his second double-figure scoring game of the season and third of his career, and sophomore Christ Koumadje had seven points.UP NEXTMinnesota: The Gophers face Vanderbilt on Saturday in a neutral-site game at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is the second straight season the Gophers are playing a game in Sioux Falls.Florida State: The Seminoles will take part in the BB&T Classic in Washington, D.C., on Sunday as they will play George Washington.---More AP college basketball at http://collegebasketball.ap.org and https://twitter.com/AP-Top25---Follow Joe Reedy on Twitter at www.twitter.com/joereedy Adidas Superstar γυναικεια φθηνα . -- In one brief spurt, Brazil turned a close game into a rout and proved again it will be a strong World Cup favourite. Just as Montreal was settling into the first full working week of a new year, the Impact announced the appointment of their new head coach. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- By halftime of its game with Missouri on Saturday, Tennessee should know whether it still has a chance of reaching the Southeastern Conference championship game. The Volunteers insist theyd rather just concentrate on the task at hand.In order to win its first SEC Eastern Division title since 2007, Tennessee (7-3, 3-3) must win its final two games and have No. 21 Florida (7-2, 5-2) lose at No. 16 LSU (6-3, 4-2) on Saturday. The Florida-LSU game should end sometime during the first half of Tennessees game with Missouri (3-7, 1-5).Nothings going to happen unless we beat Missouri, so thats our primary focus, Tennessee defensive end Corey Vereen said.Tennessee coach Butch Jones was asked this week if he might consider making sure that the LSU-Florida result wasnt announced at Neyland Stadium just to make sure his players didnt get caught thinking about their division title hopes. It may sound like coach-speak, but I havent even thought about that, Jones said. When you put Missouri on video, youre facing a very, very talented football team thats going to take all of our effort and all of our energies.Tennessee enters this game as a 15-point favorite but knows not to overlook anyone. The Vols already lost as a two-touchdown favorite earlier this season when they fell 24-21 at South Carolina .Since joining the SEC in 2012, Missouri has won in each of its two previous trips to Knoxville. The Tigers won 51-48 in four overtimes in 2012 and 29-21 in 2014.The Tigers snapped a five-game losing streak last week by beating Vanderbilt 26-17 . Missouris chances of earning a second straight win depends on whether it can slow down Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs, who threw three touchdown passes and rushed for 147 yards and two more scores last week in a 49-36 victory over Kentucky .Hes running away from people, hes running over people and hes playing as good as anybody, Missouri coach Barry Odom said. Hes a total player.---Some other things to watch Saturday when Tennessee hosts Missouri.ELITE PASS RUSHERS: Tennnessee defensive end Derek Barnett has recorded 10 sacks each of the last three seasons to give him a career total of 30, putting him two shy of Reggie Whites school record.ddddddddddddMissouris Charles Harris has delivered 17 tackles and 4 + sacks over his last two games.ON THE RUN: Tennessee is coming off a 376-yard rushing performance against Kentucky in which quarterback Joshua Dobbs gained 147 yards, Alvin Kamara ran for 128 yards and John Kelly picked up 94 yards. Missouri freshman Damarea Crockett has rushed for 837 yards this season and is facing a Tennessee defense that has allowed 340.8 yards rushing per game and 6.7 yards per carry over its last four meetings with Football Bowl Subdivision opponents.MISSOURIS PASSING: Missouri quarterback Drew Lock ranks second in the SEC in yards passing and total offense. Jones says the Tigers also have the best overall receiving corps weve played all year as a group. Lock will be trying to avoid Tennessee cornerback Cam Sutton, who returned last week from a fractured ankle that sidelined him for six games. Sutton is Tennessees career leader in passes defended.INJURY ISSUES: Jones says Tennessee safety Todd Kelly Jr. -- the Vols leading tackler -- is doubtful due to an ankle injury. Jones also has said offensive linemen Dylan Wiesman and Chance Hall are questionable. Missouri center Samson Baileys status is uncertain due to an ankle injury.MISSOURIS KICKING WOES: Missouri kicker Tucker McCann is just 5 of 11 on field-goal attempts this season. McCann missed two field goals and two extra-point attempts against Vanderbilt last week. Walk-on Ben Tesson came in to kick Missouris final extra-point attempt of the game.---AP freelance writer Jade Washburn in Columbia, Missouri, contributed to this report.---More AP college football: www.collegefootball.ap.org and https://twitter.com/AP-Top25---Follow Steve Megargee at www.twitter.com/stevemegargee ' ' '
